About TechnicallyArtist

I'm a software engineer with over a decade of experience, based in Europe, the last several years spent full-time inside Unreal Engine 5. TechnicallyArtist is where I publish the plugins and tutorials that come out of that work.

I started in backend and full-stack engineering before going deep on real-time gameplay. For the past four-plus years I've worked almost entirely in Unreal Engine 5 and Houdini: shipping multiplayer systems, building editor tools, and integrating with the engine source.

Why these plugins exist

Every plugin here started as a problem I hit building real games, not a product idea. Working on a networked action RPG meant writing the same systems over and over: server-authoritative gameplay, an ability system, fog of war with live enemy tracking, inventory, quests, and resource-gathering loops. The plugins on this site are those systems, rebuilt to be clean, documented, and drop-in, so you don't have to solve them from scratch.

What I work with day to day

  • Multiplayer and network programming (dedicated server, replication)
  • C++ and Unreal Engine source integration and debugging
  • The Gameplay Ability System (GAS), AI behavior trees, and animation blueprints
  • Post-process materials and render-target driven effects
  • Procedural content with Houdini and the HDA pipeline into UE5

Everything I sell, I've shipped and used myself. The tutorials are the same code, written up, not surface-level demos. If a plugin solves your problem, checkout is on FAB; if you just want to learn how it works, the tutorials and docs are free.
